Clarifai-side storage durability

When I upload an image from a local file and Clarifai returns as part of its response a corresponding URL
(looks like in AWS), can I make any assumptions about the durability of that URL? Is the a specific time period that it will be located there for? Is there an expiration? Can it be made unavailable at any moment? Will it be there indefinitely barring some sort of outage?

I'm asking because I want to predict with one model (uploading the image from a local file), and perhaps predict on it again later without re-uploading the image by using the URL returned from the first prediction.

Hey James - we can't officially say that we keep these forever and we do have a future task to clean them up eventually, but there's no timetable yet for that. You can assume they will be there for the near future and we'll let people know when we are doing a purge.

Ok. I actually just noticed that in recent requests that there's no longer a valid AWS url, instead I'm getting https://s3.amazonaws.com/samples.clarifai.com/placeholder.gif. So is this behavior gone? Do I have to re-upload an image for every operation I do on it unless I add it as an input (which I'd have to pay for...).

Sorry about that! We have a hotfix in staging for this right now and it will be fixed in a few minutes
