I am trying to use the "clarifai" package in R to use clarifai to tag images. However, I keep getting the response "Request was throttled" when using the commands "tag_images", "tag_image_urls" or "feedback".
Did someone stumble upon the same problem? How could I solve this?
Hey @DevastatingCritical! This is a v1 throttle that we apply by default but I've gone ahead and lifted it for you. Hopefully we'll have a v2 R client some time in the future as well!
Thanks Jared, the issue is now resolved!
I am also getting this in Python
Hi @sect - think it might be a rate limit that you're hitting in the v2 API (which is 10 calls per second by default). Let me know if it's something else though.
Hi Jared, im only trying to scan 1 image at a time? What do you mean by rate limit?
Our v2 API has a rate limit of 10 calls per second. If you're only doing one at a time and getting throttled then you must be using the v1 API.
v2 docs: https://developer.clarifai.com/guide
So i guess i install the new API via pip on my end? not something that you do on your end?
Sorry for the rookiness, I just started working with python, havn't even covered it at uni yet!
No worries! You can just do a pip install clarifai==2.0.28 to get the latest version of the client
The quick start code should give you the syntax that you'll need
so i pip installed clarifai==2.0.28 - seemed to have worked yet when i ran the script again i got the same throttle... not sure what i am doing wrong. What is it saying from you end?
i appreciate you help
Can you email over the script that you're using (or paste it here)? Think we'll need to take a closer look
